Lisa King

Lisa King (’08) is the former Vice President of Administration and Finance of Hudson Bay Insulation, a commercial contracting firm based in Seattle. She and her husband, Jim (’80) founded the company in 1990 and after 25 years of service she retired in 2015.  Under their direction, Hudson Bay Insulation grew from a Seattle based, 7 employee company to a multi-state enterprise employing more than 250 individuals. Following her corporate retirement, Lisa directed a small non-profit organization created to support those in need in the service areas of the business until 2020.

Throughout her life, Lisa has volunteered in the community and as an advocate for WSU across multiple units and constituencies. Currently, Lisa serves on the WSU Foundation Board of Directors where she is the recent past chair.  In addition to the Board, she serves on the Campaign Committees for Athletics and the Global Campus.  A member of Alpha Gamma Delta, Lisa has maintained close connections with her Greek ties as the president of the house corporation board for 8 years. Lisa and Jim are both recipients of the WSU Foundation Outstanding Service Award and were recognized as Laureates in 2019

Lisa and Jim live in Snoqualmie, Washington with their cat, BC, but they also have a home in Pullman due to the amount of time spent there!  They have one daughter, Emily Neighbors (2011) and are the proud grandparents of future Coug, Luciana.
